Polish the Hull
We start with a full cut polish wax or sand restoration. This removes all oxidation and brings your gelcoat back to its cleanest, most receptive state.
Surface Prep
After polishing, the hull is decontaminated and prepped. Any oils or residue from the polish process are removed so the ceramic bonds cleanly to bare gelcoat.
Ceramic Application
XPEL Marine ceramic is applied panel by panel, worked into the surface, and levelled before it cures. Proper application technique is what separates a professional job from a spray-and-wipe.
Initial Cure

Ceramic coating is priced at +$75/ft added to a polishing package. It's not a standalone service — it's applied after a cut polish wax ($34/ft) or sand restoration (~$60/ft). So a 22ft boat getting cut polish wax + ceramic would be $34 + $75 = $109/ft total. Call 236-499-0008 for an exact quote on your boat size and condition.
Ceramic coating bonds chemically to gelcoat — and it only bonds properly to a clean, uncontaminated surface. If there's any oxidation, fading, or residue on the hull, the ceramic won't adhere correctly and won't last. Polishing first removes all of that and gives the ceramic the best possible surface to bond to. Applying ceramic over an unpolished hull is a waste of the product and the money.
