Three Students,
One Pressure Washer
Okanagan Marine Guys started in spring 2021. Back then, we were three university students — backgrounds in mechanical engineering, sports management, and tourism — who loved boats, loved the Okanagan, and saw a real gap in the market. Boat owners around the lake were spending their weekends cleaning instead of riding.
We launched under the name Okanagan Boat Detailing with a simple promise: show up on time, do a meticulous job, and handle the maintenance so owners could get back on the water. Our slogan was "More Boating. Less Cleaning." — and that's still what we're about today.
We built the business on three things: hard work, real attention to detail, and the kind of positive, can-do attitude that makes working with us genuinely easy. We communicated before, during, and after every job. No surprises, no half-measures.
It caught on fast. Within seasons we were the most trusted detailing crew on Okanagan Lake — and clients kept asking us for more.

to Okanagan Marine Guys
What started as wash-and-detail jobs grew into something much bigger. Clients kept asking for polishing, ceramic coating, marine flooring, shrink wrapping, aluminum work — and we kept delivering. Eventually, our name needed to catch up with what we'd actually become. Okanagan Boat Detailing became Okanagan Marine Guys — a full-service marine care operation built on the same foundation, just with a lot more horsepower. Same team, same standards, same commitment to doing it right. Just a name that finally fits.

These aren't buzzwords on a wall. They're the three things we asked ourselves about every single job since day one.
Hard Work
No shortcuts, no rushing. Every boat gets the same level of effort whether it's a 16ft runabout or a 36ft cruiser. We don't cut corners — we just cut through oxidation.
Attention to Detail
Details are the job. The seam nobody else gets into, the spot under the rub rail, the interior corner most crews skip over — we notice them, and we get them. Every time.
Clear Communication
We consult clients before, during, and after every service. Honest expectations up front, a walk-through at the end. No surprises on the invoice, no surprises on the boat.

That's been our mission since day one. We handle the work so you can enjoy the water. It's pretty much as simple as that — and we're pretty hooked on doing it right.
Aqua Boat Club
When we outgrew working purely on-location, we partnered with Aqua Boat Club — Kelowna's premier marina facility — to give us a proper indoor, climate-controlled detailing bay. It's the kind of setup where work gets done right regardless of weather, season, or boat condition.
Trailered boats can be dropped off anytime. For marina boats, we offer a $150 pull-out at the El Dorado Boat Launch — lifted out and detailed on stilts inside, then put back in the water. No trailering required.
